At World of Plaster we consider plastering to be an artform. A trade which has been refined throughout the ages to enhance the asthetics to any size home, unit site or commercial building. Coordinating tradespeople can be one of the hardest and most stressful tasks in building a home. This is why we are continually working on improving our high level of customer service. We believe in keeping the client fully informed before commencement of the job, through the duration of the project, and ensuring that we are available for any follow up work once the job is completed. Schedules are a very important part of building a house, and we keep the customer fully aware of when we expect their home to be completed.
Choosing a plastering finish for your new home can be extremely difficult. This is why we have created a showroom to assist clients in choosing the right plastering finish which suits their home and character. Many different plastering finishes are displayed in large panels that allow you to see the finish in all its glory. We also have samples which can be taken whilest perhaps you ponder on the plaster coating that you will choose for your home.
Of course, although service is extremely important, the quality of the plastering finish is everlasting and is what the final consumer will see every day.
When considering the quality of the final product, there are many factors which have been involved in the process to getting that quality plaster finish.
• First and foremost is the preparation of the substrate (surface to be plastered). Every brick has different properties, and reacts differently to changes in temperature, mix ratios and application techniques. Our tradespeople are all fully experienced and very knowledgeable on the variances that can occur when tackling these different substrates.
• Secondly is the adherence to the guidelines as specified by the products manufacturer. Basically, if you use the right product in the wrong way, durability and quality may be compromised.
• Cleanliness – We ensure our plastering teams leave all jobs clean and tidy after they have completed the job. A quality finish can be ruined by leaving a mess or by not cleaning the door and window frames.
• Back up service and maintenance – After all the other tradespeople ie cabinet makers, plumbers, electricians etc have done their jobs, they invariably always leave chips to the walls and bullnoses. We are always available to provide patching to our work at an hourly rate.
